Roachdale - James Darrell Robbins, 67, a resident of this area all his life died at 4:30 p. m. Thursday at Raccoon. He had been ill the past month. He was a membe rof Mt. Olivet Baptist Church at Barnard. Mr. Robbins was a native of Barnard, born October 10, 1903, to Charles and Nettie Sanders Robbins. He married Feb 19, 1927 Mable VanCleave in Ladoga. His wife survives with two sons, Willis Darrell of Carmel and William M. of Raccon; a daughter, Mrs. Wilma Quigg of New Market; 8 grandchildren, his mother of Roachdale, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral rites will be conducted at 2 p. m. Saturday in Mt. Olivet Church where the body will be taken to lie in state an hour prior to the services. Rev. Mellott of New Market will officiate with burial in Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the family residence in Raccoon until 11 a. m. Saturday.
